Outboard engines allow your boats to bounce on the water when you like to speed up for the thrill and adventure of it. A diesel or petrol outboard engine is most commonly used these days. When I was looking for an outboard engine a few years back, I chose a Yamaha 4 stroke portable engine for its lightweight and high performance. This engine is now a favorite with many boaters. It weighs only 37 lbs and can be packed; and stowed away easily during off season.
This year the engine was taking up more fuel and seemed a bit slow! I searched online for a good boat engine repair shop in the neighborhood and found Advanced Marine. I live in Corpus Christie and they are located at a convenient distance from my place. I called them first and later went down to their shop with my Yamaha engine. They checked the engine, repaired it and gave me some maintenance advices as well. To get better performance from my engine, I signed a maintenance agreement so they can service it every quarter.
I like the easy to carry Yamaha 4 stroke engine because it offers me maximum maneuverability when I need it. Sometimes, the water in the Texas lakes gets skinny while the 5-step trim adjustment and 3-step shallow water drive system protects the propeller in skinny water.
Another good thing about the Yamaha engine is that it takes little fuel. The motor is small thus it uses less fuel to run. I like the way I can store the engine on its side without having the oil leak out. The newer models now come with water-cooled fuel pump that boost engine power and prevent any type of vapor lock in the warm summers. Advanced Marine services and repairs a large variety of inboard and outboard engines.
